Richard Louis Jurica Sr., age 75 of Rowlett, TX, passed away October 10, 2021. He was born May 20, 1946, in Ennis, TX, to John and Helen (Pekar) Jurica. Richard loved his family and the time he spent with them. He was a good cook and enjoyed gathering with his friends and family, especially at Christmas. His presence will be deeply missed.
Richard is survived by his beloved husband of 35 years: Robert Wayne Stutler; son: Richard Louis Jurica Jr. and wife Janise; grandchildren: Jessica Jurica and Justin Jurica; siblings: Robert Jurica and wife Irene, Bill Jurica and wife Mary, Rose Mary Novy and husband Adolph; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother John Lee Jurica.
Funeral mass will be held 2:00 pm Friday, October 15, 2021, at Sacred Heart Mausoleum Chapel with Fr. Martin Mwangi officiating. Deacon Andrew Pena will recite the Rosary at 1:30 pm. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Pallbearers include Scott Jurica, Chad Jurica, Bryan Novy, David Novy, Cody Honeycutt, and Trevor Whilhoite. The family will gather with friends for visitation at Rest Haven Funeral Home Rowlett prior to the service from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
