Norman Gregory Page, age 63 of Rowlett, TX, passed away February 3, 2020. He was born November 23, 1956, in Nashville, TN, to Donald Norman and Irene (Curtis) Page. Norman retired from Westwood Middle School in Richardson ISD after 37 devoted years as shop and technology teacher, where he is well remembered by the many students whose lives he influenced. He was married March 17, 1990, in Garland to Susan Rainey and they shared 29 wonderful years.

Norman had an impact on the community that will resonate throughout generations. He loved leading the neighborhood kids through competitive sports on his home field turf (the cul-de sac) that was used for many sports like football, baseball, hockey, basketball, and kickball. He enjoyed playing golf with his sons, brothers, and friends all the way to his last day. It didn’t matter if it was poker or darts he made time to enjoy the finer things in life and just enjoy being around good company. He would drop anything to help someone out. His wife was his life as he did everything for her without hesitation and would regularly keep her house full of flowers. He kept his yard immaculate and took the best care of his furry buddies. His heart was truly made of gold and most of the time he was behind the camera catching all the great moments and memories. He never missed one sporting event his kids were in and was their best mentor and coach, teaching countless kids how to play many sports. His grandchildren adore him (papa) who took them to the park for countless hours. His smile was contagious and somehow the plethora of jokes he could remember and tell would compete with any comedian. He shared his talent and taught his sons to play the guitar and loved rock n’ roll. Anyone was welcome to come by the house, and his friends were of many generations. He was one of a kind and left his mark with the time he had and made it count. His love for his family was strong and showed throughout his actions on a daily basis. There wasn’t a thing he wouldn’t do for family, and everybody loved him dearly.

Norman is survived by his loving wife: Susan Page of Rowlett, TX; children: Jason Shannon, Aron Shannon, William Page, Shane Page and wife Jordan, and Jasmine Page; father: Donald Page; siblings: Donna Page, Randall Page and wife Stephanie, Chip Page and wife Teri; and 8 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother.
