Kerri Rhena Berger “Nani”, 52, lost her courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, February 12, 2020. She was surrounded by the love of her life, Ronnie Berger, as well as her amazing family and childhood friends. She was born February 3, 1968, in McKinney, TX, to parents Donnie Kellum and Janice (Hammond) Burks. She married her one and only true love, Ronnie, on April 16, 1999, in Rockwall, TX. She and Ronnie called Rockwall “home”.

Kerri touched many lives with her generosity and passion for life and made it a point to always put everyone else’s needs before her own……even in her most challenging times battling cancer. Kerri had a bright and energetic personality and the most beautiful blue eyes and prettiest smile that would light up a room. Kerri surrounded herself with family and friends and always made it her priority to never lose sight of the importance of both. She was loved by all who knew her, but especially by those that called her “Mom” and “Nani”. She was an amazing mother to Chris and the best Nani ever to Kylee, Cason, and Olivia. Kerri lived to share life’s moments with her family and adored vacations with Ronnie and her grandchildren. Her most favorite destinations involved the sun, the beach, the water, and the mountains. She made a lasting and loving impression on all who knew her, and her presence will be deeply missed by everyone who loved her……for in her life she touched so many and in her death, many lives were forever changed.

Kerri spent her entire career, alongside Dr. Hilton Goldreich and his amazing staff, at Goldreich Orthodontics, in Plano, TX. Their dedication, love, and support of Kerri, throughout her 18 years battling cancer, will never be forgotten.

Kerri was preceded in death by her mother, Janice “Neeno” Burks, and nephew, Jake Sanford. She is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Ronnie Berger, of Rockwall, TX; her son, Christopher Kellum and wife Renee, of Allen, TX; her three grandchildren, Kylee, Cason, and Olivia; her father, Donnie Kellum, of Cumby, TX; her brother, Jeff Kellum and wife Leeann, of Farmersville, TX; sisters: LaDonna McKenzie and husband Dan, of Garland, TX; Tamara Sanford, of Midland, TX; Ryan Kellum, of Princeton, TX; sister-in-law: Sandra Spence and husband Randy of Terrell, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, and friends.
