Evelyn Sue Cox Obituary

Evelyn Sue (Keene) Cox, age 79 of Royse City, TX passed away February 13, 2020. She was born August 27, 1940, in Vernon, TX, to Albert Keene, Jr. and Inez (Allen) Keene. Evelyn was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of Community Baptist Church and long-time resident of Royse City.

Evelyn is survived by daughters: Becky Illingworth and husband James, Amy Joslin and husband Les, Nancy Crowell, and Melody East and husband Joe, all of Royse City, TX; grandchildren: Kristal Coyle, Joshua Joslin, Cortney Strickler, Brook Hanna, Scott Illingworth, Laura Burris, Brandon Joslin, Cooper Crowell, Aaron East, Ben Illingworth, Nate East and Patty Thomason; 18 great-grandchildren and one on the way; and a multitude of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her beloved husband: Pastor Lawrence Cox, on May 2, 2011.

Funeral services will be held 9:00am, Monday, February 17, 2020, at Community Baptist Church, 6012 State Highway 276, Royse City, TX, with Pastor Leslie Joslin officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Memorial Cemetery, 8271 CR 105 South, Vernon, TX. The family will receive friends Sunday evening at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Royse City Location from 5:00 to 7:00pm.
