Linda Marie (McFarland) Sparks, 71, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, November 29, 2019, in Rowlett, Texas. She was born November 25, 1948, to Eugene and Lena Mae (Watson) McFarland in Paris, Texas.
On April 24, 1978, she married Levi Sparks in Durant, Oklahoma. Linda loved scrapbooking, capturing memories, and being her grandkid’s biggest fan.
She is survived by her mother: Lena Mae McFarland; sisters: Mary Gates, and Joanna and her husband Eugene Young; brother: Ronnie and his wife Helen McFarland; loving husband: Levi Sparks; son: Randall McGuire and his fiancée Christie Yarbrough; daughters: Sherry and her husband Jason Carpenter, Kristina Sparks, and Renee and her husband Michael Burden; nine grandchildren and their spouses; two great-grandchildren; and many other loved ones. She was preceded in death by her father: Eugene McFarland.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 6, 2019, from 10:30 to 11:30 am at Peace Church in Mesquite, Texas. Burial will follow lunch at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Rockwall, Texas at 2:00 pm. The family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on December 5, 2019, at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Location.
