Dorothy Faye Pitts Obituary

Dorothy Faye Pitts, age 91 of Caddo Mills, TX, passed away November 26, 2019. She was born August 8, 1928, in Moss, MS, to Ottis C. Walters and Elma (Matthews) Walters. Dorothy graduated from nursing school and became an excellent RN. While she was attending school, she fell in love with and secretly married George Edwin Pitts. Their marriage took place on February 8, 1950, and remained a secret for six months, until she graduated from school. During their 63 years of marriage, Dorothy and George were inseparable. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking. Dorothy loved her family very much and was the best mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter: Joan Snyder; grandson: Matthew Snyder; and great-granddaughter: Faith Snyder. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband: George Edwin Pitts; and brother: Ottis Howard Walters.

Graveside services will be held at 12:00pm, Friday, November 29, 2019, in Rest Haven Memorial Park, Rockwall, TX, with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating.
