Yvonne “Bonnie” (Hackworth) Rio, age 72, of Plano, TX, passed away on November 13, 2019. She was born September 30, 1947, in Sacramento, CA, to James Willis Henderson and Adell (Traylor) Henderson. Bonnie had worked several jobs, Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, as a long-distance operator, Losch-Westway, as a seamstress, Neiman-Marcus, in the credit office, and Sears, in the auto parts department, prior to going to work for the US Postal Service in October of 1968. She retired as Postmaster of Golden, TX, after 35 years of service. She began working for Royse City in 2004 and retired again in 2007. Bonnie was a very caring person who never met a stranger. She treated everyone equally. She loved her family dearly, especially her children. Bonnie was an honorable woman who was never interested in gossip or drama. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Bonnie is survived by her siblings: Shirley Hackworth, Woodrow Hackworth, Charlene Poteet, and Francis Ann Covey; children: Lisa Jeanette Vegas and husband Bill, Leonard James Archer and wife Lien, LeAnn Vincent and husband Bryan; and grandchildren: Corey Preston Rohde, Daniel N. Archer, Trey Daniel Vegas, Alexis Nicole Vegas, Brynn Farrar Vincent, and Elin Farrar Vincent. She was preceded in death by her parents: J.W. and Adell Henderson; her grandparents: Lewis and Ruby Traylor; and five brothers: Terry (age 9 months), Roy Edward (age 6 months), Johnny (age 28), Larry Lee (age 68), and Leon (age 66).

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, November 16, 2019, at Reflections at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Location with Mike Donegan officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will take place at the funeral home prior to the service beginning at 9:00 AM.
