Lawrence “Larry” Lanier Lott, age 67, of Rockwall, TX, passed away on November 4, 2019. He was born October 16, 1952, in Waco, TX, to Lanier Atwell Lott and Camille Ivy (Rogers) Lott. Larry was a long-time resident of Garland, TX. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church (which later became Lakepointe Church Firewheel Campus) for 38 years. Larry was a very active church member. He served as a deacon and was involved in many different ministries. He often evangelized in New Orleans during Mardi Gras. Larry was smart and inventive. He loved to build things. He was an engineer in the computer industry. His most recent job was with Acxiom Corp. In his free time, he would build radio-controlled airplanes, helicopters, drones, and boats. Larry enjoyed spending time out on the lake with his family and friends. When he was younger, he made his own hang glider. Larry will be deeply missed by everyone who loved him.

Larry is survived by his loving wife: Jeanie (Ferguson) Lott of Rockwall, TX; daughters: Haley McGrew and husband Aaron of Rockwall, TX, and Lauren Thompson and husband Matthew of Waco, TX; son: Jeff Lott and wife Arianne of Euless, TX; grandchildren: Landon, Reid, Micah, Caedmon, Camille, Camry, Cayla, Caleb, Torin, and Conor; sister: Linda Baity of Dallas, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of Larry’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, November 8, 2019, at Lakepointe Church-Firewheel Campus with Pastor Paul Dorsey officiating.
