Carolyn Fay Fleming, age 74, of Josephine, TX, passed away October 27, 2019. She was born April 9, 1945, in Humphrey, AR, to Lonnie Johnson and Hazel Mae (Crugar) Johnson. She was a member of Assembly of God Church of Farmers Branch, TX, for almost 50 years. Carolyn married Robert Stark Fleming Jr. February 14, 1992, and every month on the 14th he bought her flowers. She worked in the credit card division at Bank of America where she retired after 32 years of service. Carolyn dearly loved her four chihuahuas. She enjoyed flowers and hummingbirds. She will be missed by those who loved her.
Carolyn is survived by her loving husband: Robert Fleming of Josephine, TX; son: Charles Richardson of Princeton, TX; stepdaughters: Terri Michalak and husband Chris of Round Rock, TX, and Tracy Fleming of Austin, TX; stepson: Robert S. Fleming III of Cincinnati, OH; grandchildren: Jacob, Garrett Lee and Sarah Fleming; brothers: Louie Johnson and wife Bobbie of Dallas, TX, and Ted Johnson and wife Dane of Bristow, OK; and sisters: Rose Strouse of Dallas, TX, Juanita Ferguson of Little Rock, AR, and Georgia Hoover and husband Tommy of Bristow, OK. She was preceded in death by her mother: Hazel Mae Johnson; father: Lonnie Johnson; brother: Sonnie Hancock; sisters: Ester Turner, Pat Womack and Peggy Scott; and former husband: Charlie Richardson.
Funeral services will be held 10:00am Friday, November 1, 2019, at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Royse City, TX, 75189, with Pastor Robert Barnes officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Memorial Park, Dallas, TX, at 2:00pm. A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday, October 30, 2019, at the funeral home from 5:00 to 7:00pm
