AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott and Nexstar Media Group, Inc. today announced that Governor Abbott will participate in a statewide televised town hall on Thursday, August 15th at 7 p.m. CT. The hour-long town hall will air live on Nexstar stations across the state in addition to streaming on local Nexstar stations’ websites. The town hall will focus on the recently completed legislative session, as well as other local issues impacting Texans.

The town hall will take place in Tyler, Texas at the University of Texas at Tyler R. Don Cowan Fine and Performing Arts Center, and will be moderated by Neal Barton of KETK-TV, Sally Hernandez of KXAN-TV, and Phil Prazan of KXAN-TV. The program will open with a brief question and answer session between Governor Abbott and the moderators, followed by questions from audience members.

“This town hall is an opportunity to talk about the successes of the legislative session and hear directly from the people of Texas about the most pressing issues facing their communities,” said Governor Abbott. “I look forward to talking with Texans from across the state and discussing ways we can continue to work on their behalf to build an even brighter future for Texas.”

The town hall will air on August 15th, on CW 33 at 7p.m. in the Dallas market.
