The Lewisville Fire Department has arrested a 63-year-old and charged him with multiple arson offenses after he allegedly set 10 cars on fire at his apartment complex.

Since July of 2019, there have been 10 vehicle arsons at the Windsor Court Apartments, 247 E. Southwest Parkway, in Lewisville. Firefighters have responded to the fires, which damaged a total of 20 vehicles.

The suspect has been identified as a resident of the apartment complex. The motive for all the fires has not yet been identified.

Members of the Lewisville Fire Department, with help from the Lewisville Police Department, Grand Prairie Fire Department, ATF, and Texas Rangers, led a task force that helped identity the suspect.

Along with the vehicle fires at the apartment complex, the suspect also allegedly set fires at the Gomez Tire Shop and the Manors at Forestbrook Apartments. No one was hurt in either of these fires. Both locations are within a two-mile radius of the Windsor Court Apartments.

The suspect is being held at the Denton County jail.
