Jack Allen Van Dyke, age 66, of Fate, TX, passed away August 20, 2020. He was born June 9, 1954 in Muskegon, MI to Jack B. and Louella (Cooper) Van Dyke. Jack was a long-time resident of Royse City, TX. He was an engine maintenance technician at Dallas Airmotive for 42 years where he was very active with the IAM. He was an avid sports fan, especially the Dallas Stars and Texas Rangers, enjoyed hunting and riding his motorcycle with the Freedom Riders Motorcycle Group. He was a very proud and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many and will be deeply missed by everyone who loved him.
Jack is survived by his loving wife of 29 years: Sandy Van Dyke; son: Jeff Van Dyke; daughters: Kelly Tyler (husband Zac) of Texarkana, TX, Katie Van Dyke (fiancé Brett Bushnell) of Carrollton; grandchildren: Meagan and “Bo” Tyler; sisters: Sue Smith (Fruitport, MI), Tamara Stewart (husband Jim) of Poway, CA, Trina Grisham (husband Robby) of Corinth, TX; and sister-in-law: Rita Van Dyke (Whitehall, MI). He was preceded in death by his parents brother: Joe Van Dyke and sister Cindy Van Dyke.
A celebration of Jack’s life will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, August 29, 2020, at Reflections at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Location.
