Mary Lee Laster, age 87 of Sunnyvale, TX, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2020, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born July 21, 1932, in Melville, LA, to Anthony Joseph and Ollie (Couvillion) Ferina. For many years Mary Lee attended St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Dallas and is remembered as loving and faithful by her family and many friends.
Mary Lee is survived by her daughters: Monti Morgan of Mesquite, TX, Jodi Wilson and husband Mark of Rockwall, TX, Dayna Nickles and husband Douglas of Sunnyvale, TX; grandchildren: Blake Pittman, Megan and Michael Highwood, Andrew Floyd and fiancée Courtney, Patrick and Mari Floyd, Mallory Floyd and fiancé Lee, Payton Nickles, and Grant Nickles; great grandchildren: Xander, Natalee and Audree Highwood. She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur “Gene” Laster in 2010, brother Jewel, and grandson Ryan Pittman.
The family will hold a private gathering at Rest Haven Funeral Home on Thursday and a private graveside service at Sacred Heart Cemetery on Friday.
