Rockwall, TX – May 2026 – The community is invited to come together in honor of service and sacrifice at the upcoming Carry The Load Rockwall event on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at the Rockwall County Courthouse.

Part of Carry The Load’s nationwide Memorial May initiative, the event recognizes the dedication and sacrifices of military members, first responders, and their families through a meaningful evening of reflection, connection, and community support.

The event will run from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at 1111 E. Yellow Jacket Lane and will feature inspirational speakers, a community walk, and opportunities for attendees to gather in remembrance.

The evening begins at 6:00 p.m. with a community gathering, followed by a welcome and National Anthem at 6:30 p.m. Attendees will then hear from veterans, first responders, and families sharing personal stories of service and sacrifice.

At 7:00 p.m., participants will begin a 2.5-mile walking loop designed to promote reflection and unity. The walk concludes at approximately 8:00 p.m., followed by a post-walk gathering with food and fellowship. The event will conclude at 9:00 p.m.

Carry The Load’s Memorial May campaign is a month-long movement aimed at restoring the true meaning of Memorial Day by encouraging Americans to honor and remember those who have served and sacrificed.

“This event is about coming together as a community to honor our heroes and support their families,” organizers shared. “Together, we carry the load.”

The event is open to the public, and community members of all ages are encouraged to attend.
