GMR Announces Appointment and Promotion of Senior Leaders

(Dallas, TX) January 16, 2025 – GMR, a leader and innovator in the field of facility inspections and lighting surveys nationwide, has announced the appointment of Erik Hauglie to Senior Vice President and the promotion of Tim Miller to Senior Vice President of Innovation.

Headquartered in the Rockwall/Heath area of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, GMR has distinguished itself as a trailblazer and innovator in the field of lighting inspections. By providing essential surveys to bank partners, as well as commercial buildings, car dealerships, and more, GMR has been able expand to include engineering services, and 3D scanning.

Tim Miller, who joined GMR in 2015 as a Senior Software Developer, has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Innovation. He also previously served as Vice President of Technology for the firm. “Many people may not realize that we implement and utilize our own proprietary software solutions that capitalize on the knowledge we’ve gained in serving our customers for over 30 years.  Our technology teams are constantly looking for opportunities to innovate and cybersecurity is always at the forefront of our minds,” said Tim Miller. “In my new role, I’ll continue to focus on leveraging technology as a force multiplier for GMR and our customers.””

Miller, who has over 20 years of experience in the technology realm, graduated magna cum laude from Baylor University with a bachelor’s degree in computer science and a minor in mathematics.

GMR has also named Erik Hauglie Senior Vice President. At GMR, Hauglie will be responsible for leading the design team that produces the lighting designs and 3D Revit files for banking and commercial customers. A Civil Engineer with over 26 years’ experience in the DFW metroplex, Hauglie previously served as a Director of Commercial, Land Division at Westwood Professional Services, also based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. “We are excited to welcome Erik Hauglie into the GMR family,” said Killough. “

Hauglie started his career at Pacheco Koch Consulting Engineers where he grew from a project engineer to a Principal and shareholder in charge of helping lead and grow the firm. The recipient of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Young Engineer of the Year in 2004, Hauglie is a graduate of Texas A&M University.
