Rockwall, TX – March 22, 2024 – The Rockwall School of Rock is thrilled to announce their upcoming fundraisers aimed at sending students to perform at Summerfest in Milwaukee on June 21st and 22nd. This prestigious event provides a rare opportunity for students to showcase their talent on an international stage.
Summerfest, the world’s largest music festival, offers performance slots through a lottery system, with schools from over 360 locations worldwide vying for the chance to participate. This year, all three sister schools in the Metroplex—Rockwall, McKinney, & North Dallas—were selected in the lottery, marking an unprecedented achievement for the region.
To ensure every student can participate regardless of financial constraints, the Rockwall School of Rock is organizing several fundraising events leading up to the trip. The first of these events will take place this Sunday, where the Rockwall School of Rock House Band students will host a bake sale during their mid-season performance at Sideways Barbecue. The community is invited to enjoy live music while supporting the students by purchasing sweets, breads, and fresh eggs at the bake sale.
“We are immensely grateful for the opportunity to perform at Summerfest, and we are committed to ensuring that every student has the chance to be part of this incredible experience,” said Kiva Rapattoni, representative of the School of Rock, Rockwall. “We invite everyone to join us in supporting our students on their journey to Milwaukee.”
In addition to the bake sale, the Rockwall School of Rock has planned several fundraising events over the next three months, including a potential event with a silent auction at the Dallas Music Hall at Fair Park. Details of these events will be communicated to the community as they unfold.
