Ted Eugene Dickson, a 12-year resident of Rockwall, TX, passed away September 7, 2022, at the age of 62. He was born February 16, 1960, in Long Beach, CA, to Harold Gene and Jean (Browning) Dickson. Ted loved his family dearly and was a faithful and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was selfless and thoughtful, often sharing with his family how proud he was of them. A senior project manager for Brandt mechanical engineering service, he was very smart, very dedicated, and a man of few words. Ted loved to visit museums and study history. He also enjoyed playing with his grandchildren, Christmas music, fishing, eating especially sweets, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys. His enthusiasm was contagious and his presence will be deeply missed.
Ted is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years: Janice Lynn Dickson; daughters: Jennifer Robins and husband Clint, Melissa Thompson and husband Taylor; grandchildren: Carson, Ella, Ava, and Hallie; mother: Jean Meissner and husband Doug; and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by his father, grandson James, brothers Harold and Barrett Dickson, in-laws James and Peggy Ellis, and Michael Ellis.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Friday, September 16, 2022, at Rest Haven Funeral Home Rowlett. The family will gather with friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
