Time is running out for Texas makers and entrepreneurs to showcase their products in one of the state’s most exciting competitions. H-E-B is now accepting final submissions for its 2026 Quest for Texas Best, with the deadline closing Wednesday, April 22.

This beloved annual contest has helped launch more than 1,000 unique Texas-made products over the past decade—from cookies and coffees to empanadas, pickles, pho, salsas, spices, and more. Participants compete for a share of $100,000 in cash prizes, along with the opportunity to see their product featured on H-E-B shelves across the state.

Winners will be selected by a panel of judges, with the Grand Prize recipient earning $50,000, the title of “Texas Best,” and placement in H-E-B stores statewide. Additional prizes include $25,000 for first place, $15,000 for second, and $10,000 for third place. Final awards will be announced this October in San Antonio.

Beyond the competition, H-E-B continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting local entrepreneurs—having reviewed more than 7,000 product submissions and awarded nearly $3 million in prize money over the years, along with valuable marketing, mentoring, and business support.
