Rockwall, TX – January 5, 2026 – Attorney Keith Wheeler has been sworn in as Judge of the Rockwall County Court at Law #1 by Judge Brett Hall to fill the unexpired term of The Honorable Brian Williams. Williams is now the 503rd District Court Judge. Wheeler intends to be a responsible steward of the court during his tenure, which concludes at the end of the year following the election of the new judge.
Keith Wheeler holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Juris Doctor degree from Baylor University, both awarded in 1985. With over 40 years of legal practice, he is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Bar Association, the Rockwall County Bar Association, the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Dallas County Bar Association, the Dallas County Criminal Defense Association, and the Rockwall County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.
Mr. Wheeler resides in Rockwall County with his wife, Tina, and they are members of The First Baptist Church of Rockwall.
