Rockwall native Rhyan Cannon has made it to the Top 5 in Colossal’s nationwide Face of Halloween competition, a spirited campaign that raises both funds and awareness for the Starlight Children’s Foundation, which delivers happiness to seriously ill children and their families through toy deliveries, hospital wear, gaming, and more.

The event, organized by Colossal, has drawn national attention as it combines Halloween fun with a powerful mission. Learn more about the campaign here.

For Rhyan, this competition is about much more than costumes and creativity. It’s about shining a light on a mission that hits close to home.

“The Starlight Children’s Foundation is an incredible organization that supports hospitalized children and their families,” Rhyan shared. “My younger brother is part of the autistic community, and I’ve seen how crucial these programs can be. Families often have to sacrifice simple joys like toys or birthday celebrations to cover medical costs, so organizations like Starlight make a real difference.”

Rhyan grew up in Rockwall and has deep ties to the community. She worked at Marigold Learning Academy, an ABA clinic that serves children with autism — including her brother. Her family also owned and operated SirenRock, a local business that became a gathering place for themed events and celebrations.

Her Rockwall roots have shaped her passion for community and advocacy. “I love how proud and close-knit Rockwall is. It’s a community that invests in its children and their future. I feel incredibly privileged to have grown up here, and it’s important to me to give back.”

Outside of her advocacy, Rhyan has spent years creating themed photography and video content inspired by iconic film and television characters, often collaborating with local photographers and artists. The Face of Halloween competition has allowed her to merge her love of creativity with a cause that matters deeply to her family.

If she wins, Rhyan hopes to use the title as a platform to keep spreading awareness for programs like Starlight while also supporting local small businesses and furthering her education.

“Winning would mean so much — not just for me, but for the larger mission of Starlight,” she said. “It would be an honor to represent both the Halloween community I love as well as the Rockwall community.”

The Rockwall community can support Rhyan by sharing her story and voting in the Face of Halloween competition.
