Rockwall, TX-Sept. 18, 2024 – You may have noticed ongoing construction work northwest of the building when passing the Rockwall County Courthouse on Yellowjacket Lane.
Groundbreaking for the Rockwall County Courthouse Annex took place on June 11th and on Wednesday, September 18th the outer walls started to be erected.
The new building will provide easy access and parking for visitors to the Tax Office, the County Election Office, Veterans Services, Environmental Health, the Geographic Information System Department, and the County Auditor.
The Annex at 1101 Yellowjacket Lane is set to be completed next year.
Funding for the Annex comes by way of the American Rescue Plan Act. To date, the project is ahead of schedule and under budget.
