May’s Historical Foundation Presentation

Rockwall, TX-May 10, 2024 – Susan Lanning, Director of the Audie Murphy/American Cotton Museum in Hunt County, was the guest speaker for the latest Sheri Stodghill Lecture Series at the Historic Courthouse in Rockwall.

Susan discussed the history of cotton in Greenville and North Texas. Her talk also included the story of WWII’s most decorated soldier and Hunt County native, Audie Murphy.

The Audie Murphy/American Cotton Museum is open from 10 am to 5 pm on Tuesday- Saturday. Join them as they celebrate Audie Murphy Day on May 18th.

The 2024-2025 Sheri Stodghill Lecture Series will run from September through May on the second Friday of every month at the Rockwall County Library at noon.
