Johnny Garcia, age 79, of Rockwall, TX, passed away August 22, 2022. He was born May 28, 1943, in Lyford, TX, to Juanita (Martinez) and Segundo Garcia. Johnny was a hard worker and made many friends while in his job as a contractor. He enjoyed playing bingo, and going to horseraces and Winstar. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Johnny is survived by his children: Sam Garcia and wife Elizabeth, Frank Garcia, Richard John Garcia and wife Kristen, and Gina Hernandez and husband James; grandchildren: Samuel Garcia and wife Alyssa, Chelsea Garcia and fiancé Elaido, Chaney Garcia, Denton Garcia and wife Ashley, Parker Garcia and fiancée Kylie, Landry McKnight, Hudson Garcia, Ashlee Garcia, Gabby Hernandez, Alicia Hernandez, and Mia Hernandez and Cruz Hernandez; great-grandchildren: Levi, Jeremiah, Bronx, Brooklyn, Aiden, and Anniston; siblings: Gonzalo Garcia, Freddy Garcia, Toni Lopez, and Chelo Cavazos; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held 11:00am Friday, August 26, 2022, at Reflections at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall location. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service from 10:00am to 11:00am at The Gathering at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall location.
