Graham Rodgers Garrett, loving father and lifelong Rockwall, TX, resident, passed away July 1, 2022, at the age of 56. Graham was born June 7, 1966, in Terrell, TX, to Gerald Bryan Garrett and Gaye (Rodgers) Garrett. He graduated from Rockwall High School in 1984 and later attended East Texas State University. Graham proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard, where he very much enjoyed his time as a radioman and sailor. He then worked for AT&T before retiring to enjoy life as a father and eventual grandfather.

Graham was a talkative and funny individual who always wore his heart on his sleeve. He was known for cracking jokes, playing pranks and seeing the lighter side of things in every situation. Graham had a huge heart and was always a hopeless romantic. Family and friends could come to Graham for anything, and he was the best “Pappy” to his grandson, Jordy. Graham also loved taking care of and spending time with his dog, AJ, and cat, Gerty. He was an avid football fan and particularly enjoyed cheering on the Rockwall Yellowjackets on Friday nights. Graham dearly loved his family, and especially enjoyed family gatherings whenever possible.

Graham is survived by his children: daughter, Allie Garrett, and son, Blake Garrett; stepsons, Steven Kyler, and Chris Kyler; grandson, Jordy Pettis; brother, Bryan Garrett, and wife Shannon; nieces, Brooklyn and Peyton; and a host of extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gaye and Gerry Garrett; and by the mother of his children, Sandra Leathers.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Friday July 8, 2022, at Reflections at Rest Haven Funeral Home – Rockwall Location. Interment will follow in Rockwall Memorial Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday morning, prior to the funeral, beginning at 9:00am.
