Bailey Anne Morrow, 19, of Heath, Texas, joined our Lord and Savior on July 18, 2022. Bailey was born on September 12, 2002, in Rowlett, Texas, to Michael Howard Morrow and Amanda Donette Long. She was a fiercely loved daughter, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend.

Bailey attended Texas Women’s University in Denton, Texas, to obtain a degree in nursing and planned to return for her sophomore year in August. As a competitive swimmer since early elementary, she competed in triathlons and swim meets with RACE teammates and the RHHS swim team. She played cello in the orchestra, created a ton of art in her free time and held a deep appreciation for the safe, creative space that the RISD fine arts program provided. During her formative years she attended Amy Parks Heath Elementary School, Cain Middle School, and graduated from Rockwall Heath High School, class of 2021.

As a little girl Bailey loved horses, Pokemon, and Minecraft. Her love for art began at an early age when learning to draw Dora and My Little Pony with her Maw Maw. She enjoyed spending any free time drawing or reading. Bailey was a champion of the underdog and had a special way of being a friend to all. Those who knew her considered her to be dependable, trustworthy, genuine, authentic, and humble. Many enjoyed her directness and quick, dry wit. Most thought she was tough. A very select few knew better.

In recent years Bailey spent the majority of her time with her beloved boyfriend, AJ English. Together they enjoyed Six Flags, The Texas State Fair, trips to visit friends at A&M, concerts, eating hibachi and Chiloso, skateboarding and paddle boarding, playing Minecraft and Halo, holding hands, and taking long naps together on the living room couch. During COVID quarantine, Bailey spent her days sitting beside AJ at the English family kitchen counter, completing school online. They were like a little married couple. The English family is forever her second family.

Bailey is survived by her maternal grandparents, Billy Gene Long and Linda Jackson Long of Denham Springs, Louisiana; maternal aunt Hanna Mae Sedatole and her husband Dustin and cousins Slade and Evie Mae of Frisco, Texas; maternal cousin Nicole Holguin and her father Chris Holguin of Rockwall, Texas; paternal aunt Cynthia Morrow of Union City, Indiana; paternal cousin Megan Bush and her husband TJ, children Benjamin, Audrey and Melanie of Yorktown, Indiana, as well as an extended family of Jacksons and Longs.

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Howard Henry Morrow and Juanita Kemp Morrow of Terre Haute, Indiana; maternal great grandparents Aubry Jackson, Sr. and Joyce Fryoux Jackson of Denham Springs, Louisiana; and maternal aunt Laurie Long Holguin of Rockwall, Texas. Bailey will be laid to rest at Rest Haven Rockwall beside Laurie in a private cremation service.

The family would like to thank Bailey’s teachers, coaches, coworkers and friends for their part in shaping Bailey into the amazing young woman we are heartbroken to lose. There was no lesser part. There were no minor roles.

A funeral service to celebrate Bailey’s life will be held on Monday, July 25, 2022 beginning at 1:00pm in Reflections Chapel at Rest Haven Funeral Home- Rockwall location. A gathering will precede the service beginning at 12:00pm. The family will also receive friends and loved ones the evening prior, Sunday, July 24, 2022 from 5:00- 8:00pm at Rest Haven Funeral Home- Rockwall location.

Bailey was passionate about water safety and took her time up on the stand very seriously. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations are made in Bailey’s name to “Swim 4 Elise” www.swim4elise.com/donate.
