Virginia Rose Phillips, age 78 of Garland, TX, passed away June 4, 2022. She was born December 19, 1943, in Waterbury, CT, to Antonio and Catherine (Oliveri) Lombardo. Virginia was a resident of Garland for 42 years and was a faithful member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. Married for 56 years, she was a loving and very caring wife, mother and grandmother. She was a good cook and dedicated homemaker. Virginia enjoyed reading and loved to write. She was devoted to her Catholic faith.
Virginia is survived by her husband: Raymond Ambrose Phillips Jr.; children: Raymond Ambrose Phillips III and wife Sandra, Robert Anthony Phillips, Gina Saldana and husband Andy; grandchildren: Antonio Phillips and A.J., Olivia, Evan, and Angelo Saldana; sister: Petrina Maiorino; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral mass will be held 10:00 am Monday, June 13, 2022, at Sacred Heart Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, followed by interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery. The family will gather with friends at Rest Haven Funeral Home Rowlett Sunday from 3:00 to 6:00 pm with a rosary at 5:00 pm.
