Terry Lee Wilcox, 79, beloved father and husband, went home to be with the Lord on June 4, 2022. He was born in Danville, Illinois to the late Terry Kimble Wilcox and Vera Marie Johnson. His stepmother Jerry S. Wilcox also preceded Terry in death.

Terry is survived by his wife of 55 years, Peggy; daughter Michelle Kendrick and her husband James Kendrick and son Cale Wilcox and his partner Jeffery Phillips; brother Carl Wilcox and his wife Patsy Wilcox; granddaughters Megan and Ashley Kendrick; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends.

Terry proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was a big supporter of Veteran foundations. He was a strong, kind, loving, and supportive father. His knowledge and guidance was the foundation of his family. His sense of humor was amazing and he was someone who treasured and valued friendships for a lifetime. He loved spending time in his man cave building his radio controlled model planes and helicopters. He also loved to fly them and well, sometimes crash them. He loved sports especially hockey, college football, college basketball and NASCAR. He had a special love for the University of Auburn Tigers and the University of Illinois Fighting Illini. He loved fishing and held a special place in his heart for all animals, especially Pippa, Tillie and Lillie. His life was a life well lived and he will be missed deeply by all that knew him.

Memorial services will be held 1:00 pm Friday, July 8, 2022, at Rest Haven Funeral Home Rowlett. Inurnment will be 1:00 pm Monday, July 11, 2022, at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
