Patricia “Patsy” Louise DeWitt, age 89, of Rowlett, TX, passed away March 26, 2022. She was born October 13, 1932, in Sanford, FL, to A.K. Holland and Irma Holland. Patsy grew up in Montgomery, AL, and was a long-time resident of Rowlett, TX. Patsy met her husband in Montgomery, and they married on December 28, 1953. They raised their family in Mesquite, TX. She enjoyed musicals, gardening, and loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a University of Alabama Crimson Tide fan. Patsy sold Avon for many years, and retired from the medical field, working for Dr. A.G. Nelson of Dallas for almost 30 years. Patsy was a devoted wife and caretaker to her husband and parents, and loved her family. She was a long time member of Casa View Baptist Church in Dallas, and First Baptist Church of Rowlett. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
Patsy is survived by daughters: Judy Morris and husband Patrick of Rowlett, TX, and Tina Staton and husband Joe of Rowlett, TX; son: Greg Dewitt and wife Teri of Plano, TX; grandchildren: Kristi Hodge and husband Brody of Emory, TX, Kenny Morris and wife Larissa of Fredonia, NY, Mathew Morris of Lewisville, TX, Misti Tanzy of Dallas, TX, Joey Staton and wife Crystal of Rockwall, TX, Rebecca Putney and husband Dave of China Spring, TX, and Rachel Hardy and husband D.J. of Richardson, TX, and; 25 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother: Harold Holland of Shreveport, LA; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband: Thomas Gaines DeWitt; her parents; and brother: Walter Holland.
Funeral services will be held 10:00am Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at Reflections at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall location. A private interment will take place at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas, TX. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 9:00am to 10:00am at the Gathering at Rest Haven Funeral Home, one hour prior to funeral services.
