Kelly Scott Noblett, age 54, of Rowlett, TX, passed away on October 18, 2021. He was born September 3, 1967, in Dallas County, TX, to J.B. Noblett and Patricia Ruth (Kelly) Benton.

Kelly was a husband, father, brother, son, and a great friend to many who will miss his smile, laugh, and generous heart dearly. His approachable, down-to-earth personality meant he could (and often would) talk to anyone and quickly make friends out of strangers. Kelly was a true and loyal friend who remained close with classmates and friends from his school days throughout his life. He was a huge sports fan, especially when it came to watching the Dallas Cowboys and The Texas Longhorns. He was an expert with the grill and a master at smoking ribs.

Kelly’s true passion was his family. He enjoyed watching his daughter play sports, working in the flowerbeds with his wife, and traveling with his friends and family. One of his favorite places that he traveled to was Colorado.

Above all else, he was a proud father who enjoyed everything about his beloved daughter, Lauren. One of their special moments was the annual daddy-daughter dances throughout grade school.

Growing up in Mesquite, Texas, he was very blessed with the close community that surrounded him. The days of his youth were spent with family and friends at the Skyline Community Pool, riding bikes, and spending countless hours in the playhouse. Christmases were spent in Brownfield where his MeMe and PaPa, Aunts/Uncles, and a host of cousins would have a feast and play games like Tripoley and Spoons. On one memorable trip to his aunt and uncle’s cabin in Ruidoso, New Mexico, Kelly entertained everyone with his fun-loving sense of humor and comedic talents.

After graduation from West Mesquite High School, Kelly attended UNT, where he graduated with his Bachelor’s degree. He was working at BD where he held the position of Regional Business Manager. His approachable demeanor and quiet confidence made him an outstanding leader, a valued team member, and a loved co-worker.

Kelly is survived by his loving wife of 15 years: Christy Noblett; daughter: Lauren Nicole Noblett; sister: Tammy Suzanne Harvey and husband Steve; step-father: Darrell Benton; mother-in-law: Donna Sue Lawrence; sisters-in-law: Laci Robertson and husband Alan, and Erin Lawrence; nephews: Corey Noblett, and Nathan Dry; nieces: Samantha Hughes and husband Eric, and Jessica Tipps and husband David; and a host of extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother: Patricia Ruth Benton; father: J.B Noblett; brother: Stanley Jay Noblett; father-in-law: Don Lawrence; and brother-in-law: Ricky Lawrence.

In the end, Kelly fought a courageous battle with cancer. Remember, “Warriors are not the ones who always win, but they are the ones who always fight” – Unknown
