Dolly Louise Hensley, 91, of Corsicana, Texas, passed from this life on October 15, 2021. Dolly was born to John Lee Evans and Myrtle (Brabham) Evans, on August 3, 1930, in Akron, Ohio.

Dolly had many titles: To Fred she is “The love of his life.” To her children she is “The best Mom on the Planet.” To her grandchildren she is “Granny and a very competitive croquet player.” At the church she was “Sister Hensley.” To God, she is “His Faithful Daughter.” Dolly will be missed, of course… but we know she has a mansion in Heaven, preparing for her family reunion.

Dolly is survived by her loving husband of almost 75 years, Fred D. Hensley; children: Duane Hensley, Mike Hensley and Patricia, John Hensley and Marva, Patricia Ivers and James; grandchildren: Jeffrey Hensley, Tammy Shawham and Dennis, Lori Booth and Doug, Timothy Hensley and Jacqueline, Jason Hensley and Tiffany, Jordan Ivers and Margaret, James Ivers, Jr. and Christi, John Willis and Tiffany, Jordan Ross, Sr.; great-grandchildren: Elizabeth Hensley and partner Bryan Blair, Andrew Snyder and Marissa, Brent Booth and Jolie, Cory Booth, Allison Renuy and Reece, Connor Hensley, Lucas Hensley, Violet Hensley, Sierra Purdy, Elizabeth Purdy, Jason Ivers, Luke Ivers, Jared Ivers, Hope Ivers, Chelsey Ivers, Austin Ivers, Jenna Ivers, Jordan Ivers, Jace Ivers, Jordan Ivers, Jr., Leanna Ivers, Joel Ivers, Jude Ivers, Gage Willis and Clayton Willis; great great-grandchildren: Landon Booth, Charlotte Booth, Aiden Snyder, Noah Snyder, Annabella Snyder. Dolly is preceded in death by her parents, John and Myrtle Evans; and siblings: Dan Evans, Pat Evans, Virginia Laubert, Calvin Evans and Evelyn Knapp.

A funeral service to celebrate Dolly’s life is to be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 1:00 PM in Reflections Chapel at Rest Haven Funeral Home – Rockwall location, with Reverend Dennis Shawhan officiating. A gathering for friends and loved ones will precede the service beginning at 12:00 until 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park in Rockwall, Texas.
