Today marks an exciting milestone in Rockwall County’s ongoing fight against the pandemic.
Texas Health Hospital Rockwall received its first shipment of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine for distribution to their front line caregivers.
“Based on guidance from the CDC and the state, vaccinations are now underway for our nurses, physicians, respiratory therapists, patient care technicians, infection control workers and other caregivers with an elevated risk of exposure,” a post on the hospital’s Facebook page says. “This remains a critical time in health care but we are hopeful and inspired by what the vaccine means in our continuing battle against COVID-19.”
