Farmersville PD searching for bank robbery suspect

At 7:59 a.m. this morning Farmersville Police were dispatched to Independent Bank (Motor Bank) on a robbery in progress. Upon arrival, Farmersville Police in conjunction with State, County, and other area law enforcement agencies responded to the area. A perimeter was set around the bank area in search for the suspect.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6’4 to 6’5, 170 to 200 lbs, wearing a cammo hat, black long sleeve shirt, blue or black sweat pants, wearing a grey gator mask, grey tennis shoes, and carrying a black back- pack. The suspect fled on foot in westerly direction into the woods.

Investigators are currently following up on leads, specifically video footage, from residences and businesses along McKinney Street and the area. The FBI has been notified per protocol and we’ll work collaboratively with them during the investigation of this case.
