There are four hundred and twenty-three confirmed coronavirus cases in Rockwall County as of July 7, 2020 @ 6:45pm. There have been three hundred and seventeen reported recoveries. The most recent population information of Rockwall County indicates that there are 104,915 residents residing within the county. 0.4% of residents of Rockwall County have contracted the virus.

There are now seventeen deaths in Rockwall County that have been labeled as COVID-19 related.

There have been 6,028 tests conducted on Rockwall County residents.

There are currently 37 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Rockwall County hospitals.

Another local news source has reported that more than 40% (37 of the estimated 89 active cases) of the current cases are currently in Rockwall County hospitals. This is not accurate. The Rockwall Times has confirmed with Rockwall County Office of Emergency Management that although there are 37 confirmed cases in Rockwall County hospitals that those cases are not necessarily Rockwall County residents.

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission reports that only about 15% of those diagnosed with COVID-19 require hospitalization.
