City of Rockwall announces WWII plane flyover, parachutists during Fourth of July festivities

The 2020 Fourth of July celebration will again feature a special presentation. Attendees at Harry Myers Park are in for a special patriotic treat. Parachutists will jump from a vintage WWII Navy R4D-6S airplane, flown by the Dallas-Fort Worth Wing of the Commemorative Air Force. The R4D-6S will fly over Harry Myers Park at about 7:00 p.m., followed by a parachute demonstration at approximately 7:20 p.m. before the fireworks display at dusk.

The Terry Fisher American Legion Post 117 will narrate the demonstration as the jump team enters the park. For more information about Fourth of July events, please visit playrockwall.com.
