Barbara Kathleen Prince passed away peacefully on May 20, 2020, at her home in Garland, TX, surrounded by her loved ones. She was 80, born September 4, 1939, in Brooklyn, NY, to Walker Frank and Marie (McKloskey) Urbanski. Barbara was a devoted homemaker, married 59 years to the love of her life, Melvin. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother and a faithful member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church.
Barbara is survived by her husband: Melvin Prince of Garland, TX; children: James Prince and wife Leah of McKinney, TX, and Margaret Parker of Mesquite, TX; grandchildren: Sean and Matthew Parker, Georgia, Lauren, and Chloe Prince. She was preceded in death by her parents Walter F. and Marie Urbanski, brothers Johnny and Ski, and sister Mary Jane.
Funeral Mass will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at St. Michael Church with Father Joseph Mehan officiating. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. There will be a private gathering of family and friends at Rest Haven Funeral Home Monday.
As an alternative to flowers, memorials may be made in Barbara’s name to St. Michael Building Fund, 950 Trails Parkway, Garland, TX 75043.
