Dallas salon owner Shelley Luther has been released from custody after being jailed for defying statewide stay-at-home orders.

Dallas judge Eric Moye found Luther to be in contempt of court on Tuesday, when she refused to apologize for defying stay-at-home orders and reopening Salon A La Mode.

Gov. Greg Abbott changed his executive orders Thursday to eliminate jail time for violating those orders, which was in response to Luther’s situation.
