Troy Thomas Dixon, Sr., 63, of Garland, TX, passed away April 17, 2020. He was born August 12, 1956, in Kansas City, KS, to Ernest Dixon and Frances (Burch) Dixon. Troy was a skilled and knowledgeable carpenter and employee at Home Depot, where he worked hard to help his customers. He was a joy to know and will be missed by many. Troy walked through life with an unlimited amount of love for family and friends. His charisma, incredible sense of humor and humble personality all combined with a genuine and contagious smile is just a glimpse of what Troy shared every time you saw him. Troy’s life was driven by simply knowing all his family and friends were safe and healthy. He took his last breath on earth and his first breath in Heaven. God has welcomed him home.
Troy is survived by his wife of 42 years: Donna (Scarce) Dixon; one son: Troy Dixon, Jr. and wife Lindsey; grandsons: Connor and Trevor; sisters: Donna Lindley and Mike Callahan, and Tammy Stack and husband Bill; brothers: Butch Dixon and wife Nancy, Benny Dixon and wife Linda, and Rodney Dixon and wife Helen; and a host of other family members who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents: Ernest and Frances Dixon.
Troy will be laid to rest at a private graveside service Friday, April 24, 2020, in Rest Haven Memorial Park, Rockwall, TX.
