Nolen Welborn, age 81 of Rowlett, TX, passed away April 14, 2020. He was born June 9, 1938, in McKinney, TX, to John Chester and Effie (Rutledge) Welborn. Nolen was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Rockwall. He was married to the love of his life, Margarette Sharp Welborn, for 61 years and is remembered as a devoted family man.
Nolen is survived by his wife: Margarette Welborn of Rowlett, TX; son: Rick Welborn and wife Jill of St. Louis, MO; daughters: Dawn Wallace of Rowlett, TX, and Kim Hudson and husband Alan of Colleyville, TX; sisters: Geraldine “Sissy” Cope of Garland, TX, and June Furr of McKinney, TX; sister-in-law: Anita Sharp of Texas City, TX; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers: Kenneth, Johnny, and his twin Olen.
