Nina Belle Smith Obituary

Nina Belle Smith, age 87, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2020. She was born June 20, 1932, in Olney, IL, to parents David and Clara (Nettleton) Blain.

Nina led an active lifestyle, and was an accomplished artist, woodworker and home renovator who had many skills. She enjoyed building and construction projects very much. There simply was not too much she couldn’t do or build in her day. She loved to travel and to be around family and friends. In her later years, she was very active with her friends in Rockwall and she enjoyed playing bingo and monthly gambling outings with the gang.

Nina is survived by her son: Jack Ellis and wife Mary Kathryn of Rockwall, TX; and daughter: AnnGee Calvert and husband Billy Ray of Macon, GA; eight grandchildren and ten great- grandchildren, all of Macon, GA; and her beloved dog: Cody. She was preceded in death by her husband: Charles G. Smith; brothers: David, Clarence, Charles and Harvey Blain; and grandson: Justin Donald Ellis.
