James Alvie “Jim” Hutton passed away April 22, 2020, in Rockwall, TX, at the age of 76. He was born January 3, 1944, in Brownwood, TX, to Alvie and Lucille Hutton, and married Renell Banks June 3, 1966, in Dallas, TX. Jim graduated from Texas A & M University in Commerce, TX, with a BA degree in business administration, and worked in several capacities, always serving others. He was a nursing home administrator in Brownwood, a house parent and later business administrator at Buckner Children’s Home in Dallas. Becoming a Christian at the age of 11, Jim was always active in his church throughout his life. He was a faithful servant of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.

He is survived by his wife Renell Hutton; son and daughter-in-law: Joel and Deidre Hutton; daughter and son-in-law: Tammy and Craig Cooper; grandchildren: Travis Cooper, Connor Hutton, Corban Hutton, and Emily Cooper and fiancé Seth Revell; brother and sister-in-law: Jerry Bob and Sandy Hutton; sisters-in-law: Aileen Mason and Patricia Banks; Channon and Kati Clark, who he loved as if they were a daughter and granddaughter; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service may be held at a future date, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in memory of Jim to the First Baptist Church of Rockwall, 610 S. Goliad Street, Rockwall, TX 75087 or The Dallas Arboretum at https://www.dallasarboretum.org/.
