Squeaky Johnson, 65, of Rockwall, TX, passed away April 9, 2020. He was born February 28, 1955, in Dallas, TX. His parents were Guy Mack Johnson and Ruby Lucille Johnson. Squeaky was a lifetime resident of Rockwall and a 1973 graduate of Rockwall High School. He attended Lake Pointe Church, also in Rockwall.

To have known Squeaky is to have experienced a once-in-a-lifetime being. No one whose path he crossed will ever forget him, and those who knew him well will always bear his influence. He was a brilliant man with an advanced degree from the school of hard knocks, and he knew how to turn something small into something as big as his personality. He was fearless in the face of other humans, consistently repeating that as long as he could look God in the eyes, he was content with making his own decisions and living life on his terms. Squeaky had a heart of laughter, and a light to share with all those who knew him. He coached Rockwall kids in baseball and football, and was known by all in the community and beyond to bring kindness and a giggle. He will be greatly missed and never, ever forgotten or replaced.

He is survived by his daughter: Amanda Michelle Johnson and partner Scott Thrower; son: Jason Allen Johnson; granddaughter: Kailynn Jade Johnson; grandson: Ryan Andrew Grant; biological father: Wade Horton; biological mother: Hazel Davis; sisters: Maxine Southard, Sandra Davis, Ruby Raschke and Sherry Horton; and brother: Walter Horton and wife Nancy. Squeaky was preceded in death by his parents: Guy Mack and Ruby Lucille Johnson; brothers: David Johnson and Robert Johnson; and sisters: Margaret Steen and Judy Davis.

A private graveside ceremony is being held to honor Squeaky, and a public memorial service will be held at a later date.
