Edward Charles Stewart, of Royse City, TX, passed away April 9, 2020, at the age of 60. He was born on August 4, 1959, in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, to Edward Coombs Stewart and Mariam Patricia Ann (Killam) Stewart. Ed was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and loyal friend. He had the best sense of humor; he was so fun to be with! He retired as a Senior Chief in the US Navy after serving 26 years and truly loved his country. After retirement, he was employed with L3 Communications Integrated Systems in Greenville, TX. Ed and his wife loved traveling, spending time at the lake fishing, going to Texas Rangers games, and he was a big Washington Redskins fan. He was loved by so many and will truly be missed.
Ed is survived by his wife: Carol Stewart; children: Jesse Stewart, Jaime Stewart and husband Kyle, Andrew Franklin and wife Amy, and Christopher Franklin and wife Jennifer; 7 grandchildren; and siblings: Wayne Elam and wife Karen, Brenda Page and husband Steve, and Rick Elam. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Karen Stewart and Ann Stewart; and brothers: Dee Stewart and Bill Elam.
