Cleta “Mammy” Rhea Summers, age 81, longtime resident of Royse City, TX, went to be with her Lord on March 29, 2020. She was born March 30, 1938, in Hunt County, TX, to Dudley Miller and Fannie Lou (Hood) Miller. Cleta was an extremely social person and loved on everyone she met. She owned and operated a clothes business out of her home, Todays Fashions, as a way of sharing her love of people and her desire to make every woman she met feel beautiful. Cleta loved to cook and to make sure anyone who visited was well fed! Her first love, though, was her family.
Cleta is survived by her adoring husband of 62 years: Max Summers; son: Joe Mark Summers and wife Nancy; son-in-law: Bill Forbus; grandchildren: Nikki Summers, Mellody Crawford and husband Clint, Ben Forbus and wife Kaleigh, Becky Billups and husband Ryan; great-grandchildren: Cooper and Cade Crawford, Winslow Forbus and Jackson Billups; as well as many other beloved relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother: Rodney Miller; and daughter: Rachel Forbus.
Cleta will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
A celebration of Cleta’s life will be held at a later date.
