She was a beloved mother to her two children, the late Robert Holley and wife Charlsye of Arlington and Kim Staubus and husband Keith of Heath. Mildred worked as a reporter at the Lancaster Leader newspaper covering local news and human-interest stories. She also worked in the Cedar Valley College Continuing Education Department for many years. She and her husband were able to enjoy many wonderful years of retirement in Greenville and Rowlett, Texas. She was beloved by many of her dedicated caregivers later in life, whom she cherished. The family extends our deepest thanks and appreciation for their care and kindness.

She is also survived by her three brothers whom she loved deeply, Wayne Reed and wife Sally, Jimmy Reed and the late wife Fran, and Gerald Reed and wife Mickey all of Clarksville, Texas.
