Laura Anne Wientjes, age 64 of Rowlett, TX, passed away March 13, 2020. She was born February 16, 1956, in San Antonio, TX, to Joseph Anthony and Florence Ester (Kahn) Wientjes. Laura was a graduate of Ursuline academy in San Antonio and also a graduate of the University of North Texas with a major in music. She loved playing the piano, cooking, dogs, reading, and talking to family, friends and meeting people.
Laura is survived by her brother; Mark and wife Sally; nieces: Stephanie and husband John, and Amy and husband Joe; grandnieces; Emma and Esther. She was preceded in death by her parents and her nephew Joseph Mark Wientjes.
Laura greatly appreciated her friends and family and the loving care of her doctors and staff of Collinwood Care Center and Medical City Plano.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 am Thursday, March 19, 2020, at the Sacred Heart Cemetery, 3900 Rowlett Road, Rowlett, TX, 75089, with Father Danny Ramos officiating. The family will gather with friends at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rowlett location on Wednesday, March 18, 2020, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
