Ellen Marie Stelmar Obituary

Ellen Marie (Hajos) Stelmar, age 82, of Rockwall, TX, passed away on March 9, 2020. She was born September 24, 1937, in the Bronx, NY, to Theodore Frank Hajos, Sr. and Helen (Begley) Hajos. Ellen was a registered nurse, and a 1958 graduate of Saint Peter’s Hospital and School of Nursing in Albany, NY. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Garland. She was a member of the National Council of Catholic Women, the Dallas Diocesan Council of Catholic Women, the Dallas Deanery Council of Catholic Women, Church Women United, Charter Member of the Rockwall Pumpkin Patch, Rockwall Friends of the Library, and Rockwall Newcomers. Her presence will be deeply missed.

Ellen is survived by her loving husband of 59 years Thomas Stelmar, Sr.; children Stacy Stelmar-Cuzick, and Thomas Stelmar, Jr. (Tracy); grandchildren Sara Elizabeth Cuzick, Emily Marie Cuzick, Marissa Helen Cuzick, Thomas Edward Stelmar III, and John William (Jack) Stelmar; sisters: Anne Cadwallader (Chuck) and Margaret Hajos; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Mary Ellen Hajos; her brother Theodore F. Hajos, Jr.; and her son-in-law: Floyd Dean Cuzick, Jr.

A gathering of family and friends and a rosary will take place on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall location. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 14, 2020, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 950 Trails Pkwy, Garland, TX, 75043, with a funeral reception to follow.
