WEATHER PERMITTING, traffic on Farm-to-Market 3549 (FM 3549) between Interstate 30 (I-30) and State Highway 66 (SH 66) will shift from its existing configuration to a new alignment starting at 7:30 a.m. on April 1. - Northbound FM 3549 traffic wanting to access Airport Rd. and Rolling Meadows Dr. will have to use John King Blvd. and SH 66 to southbound FM 3549.
- Riding Club Rd. traffic wanting to access southbound FM 3549 will have to turn north on FM 3549 to SH 66 then to John King Blvd.
- Southbound FM 3549 traffic wanting to access Riding Club Rd. will have to use SH 66 to Ben Payne Rd.
This shift is part of a $9.2 million project to reconstruct and widen FM 3549 from a two-lane to a four-lane divided roadway in Rockwall County. The project started in fall 2018 and is scheduled to finish in fall 2020.
