Scott Bland Thomas, age 60, of Campbell, TX, passed away on February 7, 2020. He was born November 14, 1959, in White Plains, NY, to Thomas John Thomas and Betty (Bland) Thomas. Scott served his country in the United States Navy. He had an adventurous spirit. Scott was a pilot in the Navy. He had a need for speed; he loved driving sports cars and motorcycles. Scott was an avid water and downhill skier. He loved to go camping and he had a passion for good food, especially sweets. He had a very special bond with his dog, Ellie May, and his conure, Ozzie. Scott loved nature and frequently rescued snakes, lizards, and turtles. He loved fish as a hobby and displayed them in his home aquarium. He captured a picture of his fish, which made it into the aquarium magazine.

He is survived by his loving wife of 8 years: Cynthia Wilbur; children: Mark Thomas and Stephanie Thomas, and Cole Wilbur; brother: Gregory Thomas and wife Joanne; stepmother: Marion Thomas; his special dog: Ellie May; and a host of nieces, nephews cousins, aunts, and uncles. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother: Thomas Thomas, Jr.
Scott will be missed deeply by everyone who loved him.

A celebration of Scott’s life will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 pm on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, at Reflections at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Location.
