Judy Strauser-Sauter Obituary

Judy Lynn Strauser Sauter, age 64, passed away on Ash Wednesday, February 26th, 2020 at Baylor Hospital in Dallas, TX. She was born on July 15th, 1955 to Boss Emmett and Mary Alice (Porter) Strauser.

Judy was an elementary school teacher with a focus in special education for 23 years. She retired with tenure at Mesquite ISD in 2015. Her unconditional love for all children was a thing to be admired. She valued the art of learning and integrating education into daily tasks came naturally to her. Judy was an active member of Lake Pointe Church in Rockwall, TX where she extended her teaching and her thirst for Christ. She loved her children, her grandchildren, her family and friends with a fierce and loyal heart. She lived her life giving of herself to others. Her legacy will live on in so many of those who have benefited from her rich spirit, warmth, kindness and love.

Judy is survived by her children: Chase & partner Kassandra of Dallas, TX, Christan Armstrong & husband Scott of Quinlan, TX, Cameron of Heath, TX and Austin of Heath, TX; grandchildren: Christian, Layne & Kaufman Sauter; sisters: Diane Beeman & husband Larry of Lucas, TX, Sherry Janich & husband Rick of Fate, TX; brother: John Strauser & wife Tara of Rowlett, TX; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and other relatives and friends who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents Boss Emmett & Mary Alice Strauser, sister Janice Vick, brother in law Claude, brothers Ronnie & Gary Strauser.

Funeral services will be held 10:00am Saturday, February 29, 2020, at Rest Haven Funeral Home – Rowlett Location with Pastor Eddie Cox officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00pm in Riley Cemetery, Coalgate, OK. The family will gather with friends at the funeral home Friday from 6:00 to 8:00pm.
