John Black Bullock, age 78, of Rockwall, TX, passed away on February 1, 2020. He was born January 22, 1942, to Braxton Craig Bullock and Mary Harrison (Redding) Bullock. When he was younger, John served his country in the United States Air Force. He owned his own business as a private investigator. John was also a city council member and he helped start the YMCA in Rockwall. John loved to have fun and travel with his first wife, Carrol. He and his second wife, Marilyn enjoyed going out to eat, to the movies, and the horse races. He even took Marilyn on a few stakeout while working as a private investigator. John will be deeply missed by everyone who loved him.

John is survived by his loving wife: Marilyn Flora (Lord) Bullock; sons: John Gregory Bullock of Shreveport, LA, Bruce Harrison Bullock of Edmond, OK, Michael Karl Bullock of Dallas, TX, Jeffrey Black Bullock of Dallas, TX; grandchildren: Justin, Caroline, Duncan, Tyler, and Brooke; brother: James McMillan and wife Margaret of Concord, NC; sister: Mary John McDonald-Spencer of Johns Creek, GA; stepsons: Wayne Bryant and wife Nancy of Richmond, TX, Josh Bryant and wife Caroline of Kady, TX, and Wes Bryant of Dallas, TX; and six step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife: Carrol; stepsons: Jake Bryant of Dallas, TX; and his brother: William Redding Bullock.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 pm on Saturday, February 8, 2020, at The Gathering at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Location. An inurnment will follow at 3:30 pm in Rest Haven Memorial Park.
